Cc & Cu C & phi in Soils IS 2720
Coff of uniformity = The ratio D60/D10, where D60 is the particle diameter corresponding to 60 percent finer on the grain size curve and D10, is the particle diameter corresponding to 10 percent finer on the grain-size curve.
Coff of curvature = It is given by Cc = D302/D10xD60
where D10, D30, D60, are the diameters of particles corresponding to 10, 30, and 60 percent finer.
C & phi - C is the cohesion in N/mm2 and phi is the angle of friction or say angle of repose of the soil. It is checked in Direct shear or triaxial tests
